Everyday Runway

For The Man on The Move

I love a well dressed man!

Excitement actually takes over me as I watch a man enter the room and walk with confidence to his seat, date, or group of friends. Whether it is a man in a suit or a man dressed in jeans, if he is owning it I am giving him the seal of approval. Take for instance the handsome young man pictured here.

On the last segment of Everyday Runway, I had the privilege to work with SilverFly men's boutique for my first men's segment. I wanted to show a complete men's look for day and night. With the holiday season upon us Christmas parties will become a part of Everyday life.

Fidel is wearing a pair of chino pants, wood accessories and a pair of shoes you have to watch the segment to see. His layered look was perfect for our day look.

Steven is wearing a satin tuxedo jacket and coordinating pants for an amazing night out look. The red plaid shirt was the perfect combination with this black suit.

Chinos, not jeans. Chinos are men's khaki pants and in the men's fashion world, khaki is a color of chinos. Chinos come in various styles and should be worn according to the fit that best suits your body. Chinos are a dressy alternative to being confined to only wearing jeans.

Another trend alert for the fashionable male is a fun pair of socks. Yes I talked about wood accessories and watches but socks are one of the easiest ways to take your wardrobe to another level. SOCKS have come along way. No more boring socks. Go for socks with bright colors, cool patterns and textures.
Check out Derek James below with his new socks from SilverFly.

Since this was a men's segment I decided to go with a suit. Alyssa and the ladies of Saks Off 5th did not disappoint. I was able to stand tall and hold my own wearing this fabulous green and blue Elizabeth and James brocade suit. The black sequin shirt and suede heels complimented the suit quite well.

An Everyday Runway segment is not complete until Gregory Lawrence has my face beat!
This look was yet another display of awesome makeup application keeping up with the trends. Be sure to contact Greg if you are in need of makeup services or want to learn basic makeup application.

What's your favorite trend for men? What would you change about these looks?
